At last week’s AGM, we confirmed that Richard Johnston has joined the Directors UK Board as an independent non-executive director.
Richard has enjoyed a long and very successful career in the UK television industry.
Qualifying as a Chartered Accountant at Ernst & Young, Richard moved into financial roles at Endemol, where he spent over 20 years, including as Chief Executive of Endemol Shine UK from 2015 to 2020.
Richard brings a wealth of expertise and insight to our Board, having served as Chair at ScreenSkills, and as a Pact board member where he helped negotiate terms of trade with the BBC and Channel 4.
His experience will be invaluable in supporting our own negotiation work.
